Kala Desert Storylines "Sunburnt Country" by Chantelle Mulladad Tenor Ukulele with Bag

Kala is very proud to release Desert Storylines, a range of Ukuleles featuring genuine artwork by three Australian Aboriginal artists.

"This painting is about the country where I live. We go out into the desert to hunt, and to collect bush foods or firewood. Before the night comes, we would find a place to set up camp. As the sun sets, the old people would tell us stories about this country around the fire light." - Chantelle Mulladad.

Margaret, Evelyn and Chantelle live and work in Santa Teresa, a remote Aboriginal community 100kms South-East of Alice Springs.

A royalty on the sales of each of these ukuleles will be directed to the three artists.
