Brian Cain's Blues Harmonica Workshop.

He enjoyed himself so much that Brian is coming back for part two of his Blues Harmonica workshop on March the 22nd.
Brian Cain resides in the Central Highlands of NSW and is one of Australia’s finest cross blues harp player vocalists, 46 years of harp playing experience and ability allow him to play a wide range of blues from its inception from the likes of Little Walter and Robert Johnson to ballads and blues rock tunes of the current day. Cain was born in south London migrating to Australia in 1969 from the same stable as British bands 'Dr Feelgood' from Southend-on-sea, and London based 'The Blues Band', these influences are evident in some of Cains style. Cain has been a member of Adelaide bands 'The Others' and 'Terra Firma' in the 70s and 80s. He has fronted many bands and acoustic duos and sang opera in the early 80s. Cain is also a blues harp tutor and founder of the youtube site Ozharp. He currently fronts Australian band Indiana Phoenix. The band plays classics from the early days of blues and includes acoustic opening traditional blues featuring just harp and vocals by Cain. The full band plays a wide range of early and contemporary blues, boogie and RnB with an even balance of originals and cover versions. Other band members are Australian players Sean Nolan bass, Paul Carruthers drums, Simon Church guitar and guitarist Warren Adams.
Current repertoire includes songs from original albums 'Laugh at the Devil' and 'Downunder'. Cover versions include classics by Little Walter, Magic Dick, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Hank Williams, B B King, Chain, The Doors, Johnny Winter and Billy Thorpe to name a few.
